Boston

Boston was born 23rd February 2009 with a slight curvature of the spine also known as Scoliosis.

Boston is a beautiful colt with a spritely and wonderful nature and does not appear at all inhibited by his slight imperfection.  His owner is very open to alternative therapies and has kindly allowed me to treat him on a weekly basis.

Please enjoy my journey with Boston and see the improvements already starting to take place.  - Keep on Scrolling down the page ........  Your comments are very welcome just send them to my guest page.
Case Study: Boston

Before Cranio: Very apparent muscle bulge.  The muscle is pulling at the spine and is very hard. You can just see the spine curvature.
Before Cranio: Boston is a bit fidgety here so is not as bent at rest as he appears in this photo.
After Cranio: This photo was taken after a half hour treatment.  He totally settled down, was relaxed and shown to be taking on an almost straight stance.  The lump is still as apparent as in the before photos but he is much happier.

4th April 2009
Before Cranio: The lump has definitely gone down since my first visit.
Before Cranio: The lump is definitely not as prominent it was at  my first visit he is also standing a lot straighter at rest.
After Cranio:  He has elevated in his back and appears taller after a one hour treatment.  He apparently was very spritely and playful in the paddock after this treatment.
Before Cranio: I must admit I was quite shocked to see that the lump had enlarged quite extensively and moved towards the wither.  However, the spine behind the lump was now a lot straighter.
Before Cranio: As you can see the lump is a lot bigger than last time and has moved up his back towards the wither.
Before Cranio: He appears quite hunched in the back and looks uncomfortable.
After Cranio:  One hour after, Boston is a lot happier and the lump has almost gone.  He is standing more balanced and baring his weight better he is also more  elevated in his stance.
After Cranio: He was moving in this shot but it illustrates how much straighter his back is now.
11th April 2009
Before Cranio:  Much better than before in last visit.
Before Cranio:  Here you can see the muscle (lump) on the left hand side.
Before Cranio:  He is a little hunched at the back but in my opinion looks quite happy
After Cranio: Not a lot of visual change between the before and after photos.  However, while working on him there was a muscle release that lead to a small click in the spine.
After Cranio: He does not appear as hunched in this shot as in the before photos.
After Cranio: He is standing very balanced, alert and listening.  Although Boston is clearly "bent" with his near hip slightly facing us, the way he is standing is illustrating balance and improvement from the initial visit.
17th April 2009
Before Cranio: Boston is slowly showing improvement and the muscle is starting to soften
Before Cranio: Not a lot of change from the prior photo at my last visit
Before Cranio: Standing a lot better than the last visit before photo.  He is more balanced and not so hunched. This is looking good.
After Cranio: He is standing quite well here with his back legs out behind him as opposed to before were they were slightly underneath him
After Cranio: I have not shown a shot like this before, it is just to illustrate how crooked he is front on.
After Cranio: This is a lovely photo as he is standing nice and square, very relaxed and his lump has gone down.
29th April 2009
Before: He is quite hunched in the back and his tail is under him.  His hind is quite dropped too. Sacrum area quite raised. Slightly cow hocked
After Cranio: Tail, hind, and back have lifted Sacrum area has relaxed, not cow hocked.  Look at the grey (Uncle Bundy) in the background keeping a watch with interest.
After Cranio: Looking nice and relaxed.  I must give credit to the owner of this foal as he is so very well behaved and makes my work very enjoyable. Unfortunately the handlers have to keep him supplied with carrots or they get nibbled to death!
The problem with this foal is that the lump  is very hard muscle is pulling at the spine.  We are now noticing that the muscle is starting to soften so we are introducing massage now.
9th May 2009
Before: The muscle was very big this week and quite hard.  His owner thought he looked lame earlier in the week so we suspect he fell in the paddock while playing
After: He is standing so much better here and very relaxed, the muscle definitely relaxed during treatment.  During treatment his back "clicked" so that was a good sign.
After: He is looking a lot better from the frontal view now.  Whilst working on his cranium there was quite a bit of release.
23rd May 2009
Before: Definite improvement from last visit.  The muscle is looking so much better.
Before: From the side view it is so much better than previous photos on this angle
Before: Still the curvature of the spine but the muscle is so much better than 17th April photo
After: There was definitely a lot more relaxation going on during this treatment with a lot more muscle release
After: Having a sleep on Uncle Bundy, the fence is actually holding him up.
